What I Drew
I drew a picture of a 1967 Shelby Mustang Fastback, named the "Eleanor". This is the same car found in the Gone in 60 seconds movie. I drew the driver's side from the back.
How I Did It
I used 70lb paper and graphite pencils. The pencils were varied hardness from 2H to HB to 2B and 4B. When creating the paint scheme, I used a shade-and-smudge technique that gave the car a realistic look that reflected objects facing the car, but not too much. This particular drawing took me approximately 5 hours to create from start to finish.
Tips and Tricks
- It is all about the shadows. Just remember that the shape you see has to become a series of shades and shadows when drawing.
