How important was Drawing to your course of study?
I've drawn ever since I was little. The perspective drawing I learned in high school was invaluable.
Was the Drawing tuition up to the standard you need?

The Course I Did
A general drawing course in college. I wanted to do more courses.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Alas, my drawing and art study was very short. I was a nursing major in college. I took an art course and was pleased at the good reviews I got from the teacher. My grades were A. I even considered changing majors because the reviews were so good. I didn't tell her though and when I got my report card the grade was D+. The only one I've ever gotten. Meanwhile the teacher had zipped off to France for the summer. I was devastated. Several years later I talked to someone who knew her and told me that this is what she did to all students who were not art majors to discourage them from taking her classes.
Lessons Learned
- Even though I should know better than to take that to heart I never drew much after that except stuff for my children. I still see that D+ super imposed over the paper. Recently I'm beginning do portraits which I seem to have a knack for, but it's still hard and I am 68 years old now.
- Lesson learned is to investigate any teacher/art course to make sure you get the support you need for whatever reason you are taking the course.
- Whew, I feel much better now. I've not told this to any one.
