About the Subject
This is my friend's granddaughter. She is quite adorable and I thought this picture captured her cute personality. It is always fun to draw when your subject is something that you know, so it was a lot of run to draw a bubbly little girl. I had hoped to capture her impish little smile in the drawing. She looked like she was having fun in the reference photo that I used and wanted to bring that out in my drawing.
Advice
- Children's proportions are always very challenging. I also had difficulty with the hair since it is wet and have never attempted to draw wet hair. I made some mistakes in the original laying of the drawing but was able to correct and got the proportions somewhat within range of a three year old I think.
