Why Sketch of the Day? Well, of course there's the practice aspect - like any other skill, the more you work at it, the better you get. It is a bit of a challenge. It's also fun! And drawing is far better than photography for fixing memories in your mind, because you spend some time studying your subject, not peering at it through a camera lens. It's easier than writing the equivalent thousand-word diary entry, too.... why not join in and get sketching. You don't need to do a major work of art every day - far from it. Some of these will be little more than doodles. But better a quick scribble than not to draw at all. So please, don't judge them too harshly. I hope you'll enjoy these humble sketches and maybe get motivated to do some sketching yourself!
