However, the title isn't quite accurate, as it only glosses over technique, so really needs to be supplemented with more technical books, particularly on watercolor and oil painting techniques.

Guide Review - Learn to Draw and Paint - Review
While 'Learn to Draw and Paint' only touches on drawing skills and painting technique, I still found it worthwhile and picked up quite a few useful tips from its pages. What I like about this book is the incredible range of approach - from wiry, exploratory drawings to precise line drawings, from expressive, experimental color through to carefully rendered, gentle watercolor washes - there's something for everyone. The projects are all well illustrated, with materials lists and step-by-step instructions. Worthwhile.
