Winter Creek - 3

A slightly different viewpoint dramatically changes the look of a scene. Here the foreground is important, with the solid tree-trunk framing the sceneand the crisp spikes of foliage drawing the eye. Note how the shape of the foreground plant and the cast shadows combine to form a strong diagonal, pointing to the base of the group of trees. Together with the foreground tree-trunk and narrowing river they form a solid triangular composition that emphasises the receding perspective of the river.
