[p]Artist's Statement: I have been painting and drawing for 2 ½ years. During 2006 I worked on graphite, but since January 2007, I have switched to Charcoal. I find that the darker values of the medium help get me closer to what I see in my head. With landscapes, I have been attempting to walk a fine line between realism, and 'realistic dreamscapes'. I believe that the difference is the light…the glow. I'm still looking for it.
