Helen's Comment: Well, you don't have to pursue art as a career to enjoy drawing from time to time. This is a very accomplished drawing - I never would have guessed it was your first attempt at colored pencil. One of the things beginners in Colored Pencil often find frustrating is getting deep enough color - this is because the usual drawing paper is often too smooth to hold enough pencil. You need a toothy paper - not coarse, but it should feel kind of velvety to the touch. Also, keep your pencils sharp - a blunt pencil skims over the surface of the paper and compresses the tooth.
