Hrithik Roshan by Mili Agarwal

Mili says writes "First of all thank you for taking look at my sketch. This snap was taken by my sister.The snap is of Indian actor, Hrithik Roshan. He is one of the best actors. I have tried 2 capture his strong looks with his piercing eyes. I feel that this is one of my best sketch recently made by me." The drawing was done using 2B, 4B and 6B pencils.

Once again Mili has done a great job with the eyes, and I think has succeeded in capturing Hrithik Roshan's character. I feel the face could do with just a little more modeling - you might want to try a slightly harder pencil, maybe a HB or 2H, for areas of subtle shading. (Though drawings often lose tone when scanned).

The main area for improvement is the hair, which is always difficult. You're on the right track with it - I'm impressed with your observation of the cast shadows from the hair on the forehead. Perhaps it might help to enlarge a small area of the photo on computer or a photocopier, so you zoom right in on a section of hair, and practice drawing it larger first. That might give you a better idea of where the lights and darks should go.

Overall, Its a terrific portrait of Hrithik Roshan - your drawing is really coming along well.
