Draw a Brick Wall in Perspective

Marking in the Brick Rows

If you want to avoid having construction lines on your drawing, construct your wall on a piece of sketch paper first. Then use it as a guide directly from the grid stage or draw the brick outlines and then trace it onto your final drawing. Before you start drawing, decide how many bricks high your wall is and how many millimeters high the bricks should be. Multiply the numbers together to get the height of the front edge of your wall. (ie, ten bricks at 8 mm, the wall will be 80 mm high.) Draw your wall outline in perspective, marking in the brick height and drawing orthogonals (vanishing lines) to your vanishing point.
