Layering and Blending Colored Pencil

For the ruff on the cat’s neck I used the same layering technique of colouring in large areas with light overlapping pencil strokes, and then smudging with a Qtip. In each of the mugs you see at the top of the page, I have different families of coloured pencils separated out so that a colour can be easily found, ie, in one mug is greens, and in another are blues, reds, flesh tones, greys, etc.
