Guide Comment: Well, Jonesy, it might not be one of your best pieces, but it has some good things going on. You've got a lot of energy in your mark-making - the way you've used the pencil, letting the pencil marks be strong and definite - which adds to the emotional quality of the drawing. I'd like to see a little more detail - not much, but the inside of the mouth should be rendered a little more - so its not an empty blackness - and perhaps a little more detail in the eys. I realise there is probably a bit of tone lost in the scanning, but I think you'd probably enjoy using a stronger medium, such as charcoal or carbone, that will allow you to get really rich, dense black values. I'd love to see some of your 'best' work!

Artist's Statement: I've been drawing since i was 17 i am 20 now. I've had no training it really just came natural to me when i took art class my junior year in highschool. This is not one of my good peices just something i sketched up real quick to submit because i thought this was a cool site. This drawing isn't really of any body. I got my inspiration from an album cover i saw somewhere i can't remember what band. Well i guess thats it...
