To email your drawing:
1. Read About.com's full user agreement.
2. Save the photo as a .jpg file with a maximum dimensions of 800 x 800 pixels at a resolution of 72 DPI. If you do not understand this direction, please ask someone to help. Large files will be deleted before I even see them.
3. Title your email. Put 'Gallery Page Submission' in your subject line. Vague subject lines may lead to your email being mistaken for a computer virus bearer and deleted.
4. Copy and paste the following section, including the statement in italics, into your email and replace the example text with your own information:
Title: 'eg Untitled life study'
Artist: Use a nickname (eg Superart3000). or your name as you wish.
Medium: Pencil/Pastel/Digital etc
Size: original picture dimensions eg 4x5 inches
Artist's Statement: Write a paragraph about your work. For example, why you chose the medium or subject, what was challenging about the drawing, how you did any difficult parts. You might like to say what you think of your work, and how long you have been drawing. Images not accompanied by an artist's statement may not be displayed.
I certify that I am the author or sole owner of the material I am submitting to About.com. About.com and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. I agree to indemnify About.com for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material. I have read the full user agreement.
Got all that? Great! Now you can send in your drawing. Address it to drawsketch.guide@about.com

If you are looking for feedback on your artwork, join the forum and posting your drawings for discussion. Make sure they are not too large - 400 x 600 at 72 DPI, no bigger than around 300 kb - and add them to your posts as an attachment.
Check that you are in the advanced mode to attach your drawing: go to 'profile' (blue writing, right hand side), 'my prefs', and select 'advanced mode'
- Once in advanced mode, you can attach a drawing. click 'reply' or 'new post', click 'options' (below the message box)
- Then, click 'choose file' (button at left). Select the file on your computer, when the filename appears beside the button, click 'upload'.
- Click 'post' and your post will be posted along with your attachment.
