Medium: Pen and Ink with Digital Color
| Artist Statement: T-shirt design for a friend. I've been drawing
for a few years.
Guide Comment: This amusing design shows how effective simple, clean inking can be combined with digital fills. Note how the artist has used closed polygons (all the outlines are complete, with no gaps) so that areas can easily be colored with a bucket-fill tool. Highlights can then be added with the 'lighten' tool set at a low percentage, or a transparent white brushed over the area. |
