| Guide Comment: 'Freedom 3' is a powerful drawing - the sense of vertical perspective works well. I feel you've moved between line drawing and value drawing in places (such as the outlined arm) which detracts from the strength of the image. Try to avoid 'aimless' shading - energetic marks can add life and energy.
'Amy', your figure drawing, looks to be quite well observed, though she seems somewhat sandwiched between those to areas of black - make sure that your background and foreground make sense to the viewer, and if drawn in, are as thoughtfully modeled as the rest of the drawing. |
