| Artist's Statement: 'Well I love to draw I have all ways used pen and color pencils but move over to the computer just to try it and really like what I could do.I would love to learn more.I live in Japan so all that I have learned on the Computer is self taught.I hope you like this picture.

| Guide Comment:This is a cute and rather funny little sketch. I'm not entirely sure about the choice of textures - there's an odd mix of blurred painterly textures, crisp bricks and flat fill. I'd like to see either more of a pun on the 'snapshot' format or perhaps some suggestion of past or intended action (some reason for those wide grins - perhaps a frightened mountain goat, or a tatty-looking rope?). Its great to see Mark bringing his own characters to life. I think these two have great potential - how about trying a comic strip of their mountain adventure? |
