| Guide Comment: This is a lovely drawing, with a nice gentle feel that I suspect captures your model's character. Your basic proportions are good and you've tried to draw the mass of hair (as opposed to separate strands) which is the right idea. Look for highlights that go across the hair (often with straight, shiny hair you'll see a highlight that runs across the side of the head). Use an eraser to lift off the highlight, then draw back over slightly to suggest the hair texture. The nose and eyes are at slightly different angles - often it helps to draw a line through the eyes and down the nose first, to make sure you line them up right. You've got a sensitive touch and a good eye, so keep practicing! |
