Artist's Statement:
| 'First off thank you for even looking at my work. This
was based on a picture I took of a girlfriend on a couch. I only used the
position and her head while changing the setting, hat and her clothing to
make her look like a napping cowgirl. This was a very intimidating task for
me but I'm very happy with the result. Also this is a digital picture of my
drawing because my scanner is too old and small to capture it. The down side
being it's not as sharp of an image as I'd like, but it does make it look
more like a photo of a person, I think. I wish I could submit this larger so
you the critics could see it better, but it's horizontal and the width is
restricted. I'm 22 and I've drawn for most of my life but it's always been
based on the works of others (cartoons, comic characters) so I'm trying to
do entirely original art now. I would like to eventually sell my work but
I've had no schooling so PLEASE let me know what all of you think as any
type of criticism would help!
