| Artist's Statement: ' I drew this picture at a time in my life when things were not so good and what it was to me was my escape, there was a lot of nast feelings in my life and i sort of melded it into this image an alter ego so to speak. I want to do animation or comics so any advice would be great thanx a bunch.' |
| Guide Comment: Its pretty hard to give advice from a single image, but to me this feels like a simple, powerful expression of your thoughts. It certainly has a menacing quality, part of which comes from the mask - in some ways implied violence is often more effective than obvious blood-and-guts stuff - it gives the imagination room to move. Your ink technique looks good and clean. Don't forget that figure drawing is essential for comic artists. |
