| Artist's Statement: 'I am only 15 years old, and I started drawing last summer. I love drawing people and expressions. This drawing of Abraham Lincoln was for a History project, and I ended up earning double credit for it. Tell me what you think. |
| Guide Comment: This portrait is strongly modeled and the sharp contrasts work well for Mr Lincoln's stern expression. I'd like to see a bit more detail in the eyes - sometimes, even if your reference image doesn't have enough detail, you can use other pictures to help you put in the highlights needed to make eyes come alive. |
