sepia portrait pencil drawing

Nancy Gawron has become known in part for her 9/11 portraits which she draws for families who have lost loved ones. Nancy also does commissioned drawings and some interesting fine art pieces, which you can view on her website. Here's what she says about her work:

'I have been an artist for 40 years and discovered colored pencil about 12 years ago and fell in love with the medium. It is portable, inexpensive, clean, has a great variety of color. I started doing the sepia-tone portraits when I was doing pen and ink, and continued with them when I switched to colored pencil. I am a signature member of CPSA (Colored Pencil Society of America) and have done many other national competitions although the 9/11 portraits have taken up most of my time for the last 2 years. I do all my portraits on a first come, first serve basis whether they are 9/11 or commission. A 16"x 20", double matted sepia tone portrait would be $250. '
