Featured Site: Anatomy Studies of Frank Frazetta

Revered by fantasy artist Frank Frazetta's grasp of antomical drawing is unquestionable. While he was a gifted artist from an early age, he was also fueled by a burning passion to draw and learn. When his boss handed him an anatomy book, he took it home and copied all the drawings in a single night. It wasn't the totality of his anatomical training - but it certainly set him on the right path, and marked the beginning of a period of rapid development.

Don't miss the anatomical sketches from Frank Frazetta's notebook. The rest of the website is well worth visiting, especially the fascinating illustrated biography full of quotes from the artist himself.

Something we can learn from Mr Frazetta: you don't need expensive courses, models or materials - just a library anatomy text and a dimestore notebook, and the desire to learn. More Anatomy Links
