Keeping a Sketchbook

Friday January 23, 2009
If you started a 'sketch every day' resolution, you might be starting to waver around now. Funny how the holidays and lazing around eating someone else's cooking can make us feel like we have all the time in the world. If you haven't started yet, check out these tips on how to get started keeping a sketchbook. If you're running out of ideas, borrow one of mine! I've got ideas on sketching still life - which just means drawing objects, sketching landscape, portraits and figures, sketching animals, and exploring abstraction. Each topic includes quick, easy sketch ideas as well as more fully developed projects.

I’m one of those silly people who decided to keep a sketchbook this year (especially silly for me since I haven’t drawn even a little bit since my only art class in high school almost ten years ago)
