There are some key points to keep in mind when drawing eyes: they must be positioned correctly on the head, and must be on the correct plane - that is, if the head is turned away or tilted sideways, the eyes must be too. Visualizing a line through the pupils will help to get this right. The eye has to be the right shape, with depth and highlights, to look full of life.
