What are Cross Contours?
Thursday October 4, 2007
Cross Contours are basically imaginary lines across the surface of an object, like a grid or mesh draped across so it fits the form perfectly. While the pure contour focuses on the edges of the form, the cross contour helps us to describe its three-dimensional surface. Check out this article on Cross Contours and put them to work in your own drawing.

This has made me think. I always need to learn – to often go back to the basics and never to stick to my same old methods for everything.

I’m sorry banbidu, perhaps you haven’t checked out the links at left? I’ve got a lot of articles. Perhaps I haven’t got one on the particular thing that interests you – let me know what you’re looking for, and I’ll add it to my to-do list.
Lisa, I’ve removed your comment due to swearing. I don’t know what your homework is, so, not being psychic, I’m afraid I can’t help.
If you’d like to send an email to drawsketch.guide@about.com, I’ll see what I can do. Make sure it has no swearing and a sensible subject line, so that my spam filter will let it through.
best
