Eco-Friendly Wrap for Art Gifts
Tuesday December 19, 2006
I was just checking out The Art Guy's nice blog entry on my fire-drawing tutorial, and spotted this timely blog entry on using fabric to wrap parcels called 'Forget Wrapping Paper', with many more variations to those shown at left. A great idea, and I know many readers are interested reusable resources. I like sturdy gift bags for the same reason - I always re-use them and they look great, and work well when you've got lots of small items like brushes and pencils. Colorful pages from those big magazine color supplements make good wrap for small items, or the cartoon section for kids.
There are now a lot more eco-friendly options in the art store - products like Strathmore 400 Series premium recycled, (buy direct), or Canson's 100% recycled Classic Drawing Pad (buy direct), or The General's No. 2 Cedar Pencil, which has a natural Californian cedar wood casing. (buy direct).
