Clutter-Free Gifts for Artists

Friday November 10, 2006
I'm making a list of clutter-free gifts for artists. I'll see if I can find links to buy the products, but I'm looking for homemade gifts and 'gifts of your time' ideas too. Here's a start. You might like to add ideas from your wishlist too - you might save someone from another pair of socks and an ugly tie!
    Some ideas:
  • a big pad of good quality paper
  • membership to the local art gallery
  • fees for a figure drawing class
  • A time voucher to model your hands and feet
  • A voucher to drive to a special place for drawing.
  • A ticket to the zoo to take reference photos
  • Printer paper or print shop voucher
    Stocking Fillers:
  • 4B, 2B, B, HB Pencils - the ones we use the most
  • kneadable erasers
  • bottles of ink, pen nibs
  • check the coloured pencil box and buy the shortest colours
  • ditto for the pastel box. Wrap them like a bonbon.
  • a packet of willow charcoal
  • Felt Tip Nibs for the Wacom stylus
