Clutter-Free Gifts for Artists
Friday November 10, 2006
I'm making a list of clutter-free gifts for artists. I'll see if I can find links to buy the products, but I'm looking for homemade gifts and 'gifts of your time' ideas too. Here's a start. You might like to add ideas from your wishlist too - you might save someone from another pair of socks and an ugly tie!
- Some ideas:
- a big pad of good quality paper
- membership to the local art gallery
- fees for a figure drawing class
- A time voucher to model your hands and feet
- A voucher to drive to a special place for drawing.
- A ticket to the zoo to take reference photos
- Printer paper or print shop voucher
- Stocking Fillers:
- 4B, 2B, B, HB Pencils - the ones we use the most
- kneadable erasers
- bottles of ink, pen nibs
- check the coloured pencil box and buy the shortest colours
- ditto for the pastel box. Wrap them like a bonbon.
- a packet of willow charcoal
- Felt Tip Nibs for the Wacom stylus
