Draw Flowers for Mother's Day
Monday April 17, 2006
We've only just celebrated Easter, but before we know it, Mother's Day will be here - at least for those of us in Australia and the USA. Your mom will appreciate something hand-made whether you are four, fourteen or forty, so grab whatever colors you have and try some of these ideas. Drawing flowers is surprisingly easy - their soft, natural shapes are very forgiving if you make a mistake. Do a few practices first - read about basic flower drawing first. You might like to try a simple, elegant rose drawing in black or sepia ink on cream-colored card. One of the easiest mediums for flower drawing is pastel - try this easy, bright chrysanthemum drawing on a sheet of A4 colored Canson Mi-Tientes pastel paper. You can get great results with just a few colors.
