Simplicity
Friday October 28, 2005
I've got a new Wacom drawing tablet. Well, new-ish... its been taking up a vast amount of space on my desk for a couple of months, but so far I've found it fairly frustrating - I think due to the fairly average software that came bundled with it. (Yep, I know, bad workman blaming the tools...) However, I've got a copy of Project Dogwaffle to review, so I'll be plugging it into the old computer (it won't run on the Mac) - hopefully I'll have enough RAM - so maybe I can finally start putting it to use. I'll have to check out our Graphics Software guide's tutorials, too - I'm probably missing something obvious.
Now what has that got to do with simplicity? Very little. That's the whole point. Ladee asked the question on the drawing forum - 'Why do you like drawing?'. I thought of quite a few reasons, but I think simplicity has to be the big one. No software, no gadgets. Just a pencil and paper.
