Sketchbook Ideas

Saturday September 24, 2005
Trying to get into the sketchbook habit? I've five whole pages of sketchbook ideas and project starters to get you going. If you're just starting out check out some tips on how to keep a sketchbook. Keeping a sketchbook is a great way to track your progress, record ideas, and keep those sketches in one place. If you like to include text, here are some drawing quotes.

If you haven't got a sketchbook yet, here are my top sketchbook picks to check out before you hit the art store. Forget those cute writing-paper journals from the stationers - they probably aren't tough enough to take repeated working and erasing, and definitely won't take an ink wash. If you're on a budget, go for better paper in a cheap cardboard cover - its the paper quality that matters.

The Sketchbook and Journal subject has links to other sites with sketchbook tips and examples, so you can see what other artists do.
