Picasso Drawings Sold
Wednesday July 6, 2005
CBC Canada reports that sketches of Picasso's mistress, Genevieve Laporte, have been sold for a total of almost $1.9 million. The 20 drawings put up for auction by Laporte, now aged 79, were drawn during her two-year affair with Picasso in the 50s. It must have been hard for her to part with such beautiful drawings - imagine being the muse of one of the greatest artists ever born!
