Featured Artist: Anthony Ryder

Anthony Ryder is the author of figure drawing book "The Artist's Complete Guide to Figure Drawing", published by Watson Guptill - Compare Prices. I haven't read this book myself, but mixed reviews on Amazon suggest that it may suit more advanced artists interested in a traditional approach. Some find that his technique is too paintstaking and time-consuming. Ryder's technique is superb; sometimes a little too crisp and illustrative, but the realism and subtlety of surface is mesmerising. Check out his drawings and paintings.
