In the New York Times article, 'Making Art Young', Laurel Graeber notes that many museums and galleries are striving to make art much more accessible for youngsters. 'Travelers often want to make an art museum one of their first stops in a new city, only to see their children yawn at Impressionist landscapes or declare, after a bored glance at an abstract canvas, that they can paint better.' writes Graber.
